Before we begin

This guide is created for managers who will be responsible in hiring new personnel for their offices, as it will help them understand about what their personnel should be expecting during their onboarding journey at your company.

Introductions

After the recruitment lead has been hired through the Agency Suite, they will need to set up a Crew App account before they will be able to begin their onboarding.

In this topic we will guide you through the steps that your personnel will go through once you've hired them, provided with screenshots to help you picture it, making it more easy and convenient whenever your new personnel faces any struggles.

Attention: Without the Crew App and without completing their onboarding at your company, they won't be able to start on their first day, make sure that they will finish their onboarding at your company as soon as possible if you want to guarantee a smooth experience for your personnel.

Summary

Before we will start, it will be important for you to first look at the summary mentioned below in order to understand what will be asked of them:

  • They will receive an 'Welcome E-mail' from company (one-time)

  • They will receive an 'Instruction E-mail' from Briggs+Walker (one-time)

  • They will have to set up a Multi-factor Authentication method (one-time)

  • They will have to set a new password for their Crew App account (one-time)

  • They will have to login with their new password (always)

  • They will receive a one-time password in their E-mail (always)

They will receive an 'Welcome E-mail' from company

The first E-mail they will receive will be an Welcome E-mail from your company, congratulating them for being hired and wishing them good luck during their career.

There will also be a short mention about the 'What's next?!', meaning that they will be notified at that moment about receiving another E-mail from Briggs+Walker.

To prevent any confusion, we also dictated that they should keep an eye out for their SPAM folder if they have the feeling that they aren't receiving the E-mail from Briggs+Walker. Make sure that you also refer to this when trying to help them out.

They will receive an 'Instruction E-mail' from Briggs+Walker

The Crew App account will be created through Briggs+Walker, hence it's important that they will receive this E-mail from them. In here, we are asking them to set up their Crew App account by pressing 'Click here to update your account'.

Attention: If they haven't received this E-mail, they can go to the Crew App and use the 'forgot password' feature to receive the E-mail anyway. However, if they really aren't receiving the E-mail, then inform HQ about this.

They will have to set up a Two-Factor Authentication method

Due to security reasons, and as we are operating in a field in where are lot of private information is flowing and stored, we are requiring our users to set up a two-factor authentication before using their Crew App account.

The instructions on how to set this up, will be shown as soon as you pressed on 'Click here to update your account' as mentioned in the previous image. They will be able to scan a QR-code to link it with their 'Google or Microsoft Authenticator' or they can add it manually by using the added code if they aren't able to scan the QR-code.

They will have to set a new password for their Crew App account

As imagined, they will have to create a new password to something personal that's only meant for themselves. There is a complexity required for the password field, so they have to make sure that they meet those, but that it's also easy to remember.

They will have to login with their new password (always)

As they're done with setting up their security and created their Crew app account, they can login for the first time at https://crewportal.briggsandwalker.com.

They will receive a one-time password in their E-mail (always)

To complete their login at the Crew App, they will receive an E-mail with a one-time verification code. Also for this E-mail, if they feel like they aren't receiving it, make sure that they will check their SPAM as well.

Note

The article that you just read, only describes the general flow of setting up a Crew App account. If you are experiencing issues during this process, we suggest that you should take a look at our FAQ section of the Crew App on our support page.
